Understand the problem
Uneven flange wear and repeated tracking problems need more than a replacement wheel alone. STARKON checks wheel position, shaft alignment, bearings and the relationship with the rail system before agreeing the repair.
Prepare the workshop scope
Inspection establishes whether the wheel assembly needs adjustment, component repair or replacement. Wheels, shafts, bearings, sleeves and covers can be supplied as individual parts or prepared assemblies to the confirmed specification.
Plan the on-site work
The installation plan covers lifting and access as well as the wheel and shaft geometry. On-crane alignment and checks of the running arrangement complete the agreed scope. Our published Liebherr STS project shows how inspection and wheel alignment were used to address tracking and flange wear.
