STARKON designs and manufactures heavy duty support stools in Stellendam, the Netherlands. Our steel load supports provide defined bearing points for heavy assemblies, machinery and structures during transport preparation, storage and installation.
Jacking, skidding & load-outs
Jacking stools and heavy lifting supports provide temporary load support between planned handling stages. We define the bearing surfaces and geometry around the jacking or skidding arrangement; stools do not replace the lifting equipment.
Storage & industrial assembly
Create defined support points for machinery, modules and steel structures. Custom support steel can be specified for the required working height, access beneath the load and planned storage period.

The stated capacities apply to the specified stool configuration. The complete arrangement requires verification of load distribution, eccentricity, stability and the supporting ground or structure.

Yes. STARKON offers support stool hire, sales and custom engineering. Send your load case, quantity and dates so we can confirm a suitable configuration and availability.
What is the difference between support stools and support trestles?
Support stools provide compact bearing points for heavy loads. Support trestles generally use a frame or crossbeam to provide a different support geometry. Choose by the actual contact points, load case and required access, not just the product name.
Can support stool capacities simply be added together?
No. The load may not be shared equally between stools. The permissible total load depends on the complete arrangement, including the centre of gravity, stiffness, eccentric loading, connections and foundation. We specify the configuration for the intended load case.
