For the Port of Antwerp, STARKON supplied six complete sets of custom forklift attachments for steel coils. The project included different configurations rated from 3 to 14 tonnes for yard movements, truck loading and unloading, and container handling.

Which forklift coil attachment suits my operation?
Selection depends on coil orientation, inside and outside diameter, width, weight and loading clearance. A coil ram enters the coil eye; an underslung coil hook supports the load below the forks. Send the loading sequence and receiving truck or container details so we can propose the appropriate arrangement.
Does a 14-tonne attachment mean my forklift can lift 14 tonnes?
Not automatically. The attachment rating and the forklift’s residual capacity must be assessed together, including attachment weight, load centre and lift height. The 3–14 tonne range describes configurations supplied for Antwerp; it is not a blanket capacity rating for every truck or attachment.
What should I send for a forklift coil attachment quotation?
Send the forklift make and model, carriage or fork dimensions, coil weight range, inside and outside diameters, coil width and required orientation. Include the loading height, available clearance and whether the work involves a yard, truck or container. Photographs or drawings of the operation help us assess the interface.
